CURLY CUTS
Everything You Need to Know

What is a Curly Haircut?
A curly hair cut is a specialized technique designed to enhance the natural shape, texture, and movement of curly hair. Unlike traditional haircuts, curly haircuts take into account the unique spring, shrinkage, and shape of each curl pattern.
When a Curly Cut is Right For You?
If you have naturally wavy, curly, or coily hair and want a cut that embraces your natural texture.
If you've struggled with uneven or disappointing results from a traditional haircut, a curly haircut can provide the shape and customization your texture needs.

If you are struggling with styling your curls; it may be uneven, weighed down, or difficult to achieve volume then a curly haircut can help create balance and shape.

If you are ready to embrace your natural curl pattern and want a cut tailored specifically to YOU and YOUR goals, then a curly haircut is just what you need!

Difference Between a Wet and a Dry Curly Cut?
The difference between a wet and dry curly cut is in the approach and how the hair is prepared.

A dry curly cut REQUIRES the client to come with clean, detangled, dry hair, that is worn down in its natural state with little to no product. NO buns, no ponytails, and absolutely no straightened hair. This allows me to best see how each curl naturally falls and lives. A dry cut also allows the client to best see the shape as it is precisely formed. This cutting technique is best for clients who wear their hair curly most of the time and want a cut tailored specifically to their natural texture.

A wet curly cut does not require you to come in any certain way, as you will be freshly washed before the haircut. This allows for the most flexibility for those who don't have the time to prepare their hair a certain way before their appointment. A wet cut is best for those who alternate between curly and straight styles. It also allows for smoother cutting.

Both cutting techniques are great for creating shape, movement, and volume. With either technique shrinkage and your desired shape will always be considered. The main difference is in the way you prepare for your appointment and your lifestyle needs.
